Kranman 520/620S: when the result counts
Kranman is constantly working on development. We are now taking a big step forward with the first and only harvester intended for the self-employed forest owner.
Since the target group for Kranman 520/620S is the self-employed forest owner, the criteria and priorities are different compared to a purely commercial harvester. Our harvester is equipped with a powerful step-fed head that traps 30cm. That’s what we believe is right for our target audience. This results in high operational reliability as well as low service and fuel costs. Assembling a roll-fed unit would entail large increased costs at many stages. It refers to motor, pumps, hydraulic system and computer-controlled electronics. We have instead chosen to optimize
and streamline the machine in general.
Kranman 520/620S has separate independent pumps for drive, crane and assembly. The crane is heavily dimensioned and is 100% parallel, range 5.4 meters and lifting force 700 kg on a straight arm. To get the full potential of the crane, we have developed a weight-optimized and stable chassis, which does not require support legs. Visibility and comfort in the cab are hard to beat. You can sit in the chair and look straight up at the treetops. Control of the machine, crane and unit is in the armrests, this means that you never have to reach. The servos levers make the movement of the unit between the trees very easy and accurate. This also reduces the risk of tribal damage.
The driving pedals are on the floor, one pedal for the front and one for the back. If you release the pedal, the handbrake and waist lock will run automatically. Through the paralleling, you work twice as fast in and out compared to a regular crane. Since the engine is located at the other end of the machine and the cab is rubber suspended, the cab becomes silent. Apart from the unit, the machine is built without computer controlled electronics. All so that you as a customer will get a reliable machine that can be stored and used in its proper environment, the forest.
